The movie is not perfect and at instances lacks a little in the “this makes good sense” division (the mom works in a museum that celebrates… pencils??) However we ARE talking about a little bit boy that grows within the backyard, so it’s only fair that no one goes into this film looking for a sensible storyline. You’ll, however, really feel some very real looking emotion, particularly at the end… and if you do not, perhaps you have not ever liked a toddler.
Most new, aspiring writers get so wrapped up in getting their story out of their head (or heart) and onto the page, spending so much time proud as punch at how they brilliantly wrote that scene or that dialogue just poured onto the web page and they cannot wait for someone to learn it and lavish kudos on them, that they miss the very factor that might get their script represented and sold.
